The Signals Agency was founded in 2000 to provide support to clients in the key areas of marketing, publicity, event programming, college tours, book publishing, and social media strategies. Our staff has more than 30 years combined training in the areas listed below.
Marketing/Publicity
The Signals Agency has created successful marketing, publicity and business strategies for government agencies, corporations, entertainers and professional athletes. We include The US Postal Service, Renn Music Group, Syanide Music, and Frontier Entertainment among our clients.
Event Programming/College Tours
The Signals Agency successfully created the Talk Retaliation Violence Prevention Program, The Politics of Hip Hop Culture Tour, Author’s Walk of Life Tour, and many others. These tours are on-going national tours that partner with schools, non-profit associations, colleges, bookstores and the like. We include The Boys and Girls Clubs, Planned Parenthood, Danforth Middle School, Illinois State University, Clemson University among our clients.
Book Publishing
The Signals Agency is the marketing arm of Rolling Hills Press. Through our marketing strategies, Rolling Hills Press’s book Retaliation was named to the 2009 Top Ten Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers list by the American Library Association. (This is an unheard of honor for an independent publisher.) In addition, six months after publishing The Blueprint for My Girls, The Signals Agency’s marketing efforts lead to a major book contract for Yasmin Shiraz from Simon & Schuster.
Social Media Strategies
The Signals Agency teaches and trains small and large companies in ways to use social media strategies to their advantage. This training includes Twitter, Facebook, Myspace as well as utilizing blog-friendly programs such as WordPress.
